    Hello   Default_122812023,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community forum.

I have two directions for you.

One direction is to ensure that the printer drivers are installed correctly on both the client and server machines. You can  try disabling printer redirection in the RDP settings on the server and then re-enabling it to see if that resolves the issue.

Another option is to check the event logs on both the client and server machines to see if there are any error messages that might provide more information about the issue. You can also try updating the printer drivers to the latest version available.

Please provide the error message about the problem as this can help us locate the problem.

If you have any question or concern, please feel free to let us know.

    Best Regards,

    Haijian Shan

    Hello  Default_122812023,

    Thank you for your reply.

The error message suggests that the print spooler may need to be restarted or that the document should be printed again. The Win32 error code 122 indicates that the data area passed to a system call is too small, which could be caused by a variety of issues.

You could try the following steps to narrow down the issue:

    1. Restart the print spooler: Go to the Services app in Windows, find the "Print Spooler" service, and restart it.
    2. Check the printer settings: Make sure that the printer is properly configured and that the correct printer driver is installed.
    3. Try printing a different document: If the issue persists, try printing a different document to see if it is a problem with the specific document or the printer.
    4. Check for any updates: Check if there are any updates available for the printer driver or the operating system.

    Best Regards,

    Haijian Shan

    Hi,

    1. Restart the print spooler: Go to the Services app in Windows, find the "Print Spooler" service, and restart it. if we will try to restart printer spooler in server it will give error, then we have to restart server then it will work back printing...
    2. Check the printer settings: Make sure that the printer is properly configured and that the correct printer driver is installed.

yes, we installed that driver for that model and downloaded from proper website only..

    1. Try printing a different document: If the issue persists, try printing a different document to see if it is a problem with the specific document or the printer.

its same for all doc., bcz once we tried from local system printer its work.

    1. Check for any updates: Check if there are any updates available for the printer driver or the operating system.

we updated in server & client also

    hi,

Based on the information you have provided, it seems that the issue might be related to the printer spooler service. You mentioned that restarting the print spooler service on the server sometimes resolves the issue, but it gives an error at other times. This could indicate that there is a problem with the print spooler service itself.

One thing you can try is to reset the print spooler service on the server. To do this, you can follow these steps:

    1. Open a command prompt with administrative privileges.
    2. Type the following commands and press Enter after each one: net stop spooler del /Q /F /S "%systemroot%\System32\Spool\Printers\*" net start spooler
    3. Restart the server.

This will reset the print spooler service and clear out any stuck print jobs. If this doesn't resolve the issue, you may need to look into other potential causes, such as network connectivity issues or conflicts with other software on the server.

I'm sorry I miss this information before. I find “Do not allow client printer redirection” was disabled. Please try to enable this policy. Check if the issue persists.
