Based on my understanding of your issue, I suggest you try the following steps to see if they work:
- On both computers, open Credential Manager (type "Credential Manager" in the Start menu search bar). Under Windows Credentials, look for any entries related to the other party's account. If found, delete it.
- Turn off the firewall or any other anti-virus software first to check whether the problem is related to it.
