Hi - another frustrating network sharing issue. Until recently my wife has been able to access her files on my PC via her laptop over WiFi, no major issues. All devices were powered off recently while we were away from home, come back and suddenly the shared folders (which were mapped) did not show up in Explorer, and/or the Mapped folders had a red X on them, indicating not accessible. O/S on both devices is WIn10/11.

Last night I did a Restore on my PC to 1st Apr as nothing else (even Safe Mode on Win11) seemed to work. Success - up came the networked PC & shared folders on her laptop and I was able to access the files OK. Roll on today and access has suddenly been cut off again, thus I suspect a software update issue in the background, possibly Avast AV??

Any suggestions to further troubleshoot this issue please.

    Hello,

Based on my understanding of your issue, I suggest you try the following steps to see if they work:

    1. On both computers, open Credential Manager (type "Credential Manager" in the Start menu search bar). Under Windows Credentials, look for any entries related to the other party's account. If found, delete it.
    2. Turn off the firewall or any other anti-virus software first to check whether the problem is related to it.
    3. You can try remapping the drive to see if it works. For more details, you can refer to the following links

    Best regards
