Rd Web Minimize Problem

Question

I have an application and the normal way it works is that when I minimize it, it appears as an icon in the System Tray. When I minimize the application while using it on Rd Web, the application disappears and does not appear in the System Tray. I cannot access it again.

Steps to Resolve Rd Web Minimize Problem

1. Check Remote Desktop Services Configuration:
   • Ensure that the Remote Desktop Web Access role service is properly installed and configured on your server. You can check this in the Server Manager under Roles > Remote Desktop Services > Overview.
2. Modify Registry Settings:

   • Create a new DWORD value named RemoteDesktop_SuppressWhenMinimized and set its value to 2.

   • Ensure that you are using the latest version of the Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) client. Sometimes, updating to the latest version can resolve compatibility issues.
