Good morning everyone, premise that I am not a super expert, I would like to change the energy saving settings of some PCs in my domain. I have a 2019 STD server and I would like to set the energy reset but in the group policy entry I only find w7 client PCs, instead I use windows 10 and 11. I ask for your kind support. Thank you very much

Antony

    Hi GianGA,

    Have a nice day!

Are you a new build strategy? Normally doing this based on what I replied to, I get a screenshot like this. My reply was also edited based on what I tested. If you are not a newly created strategy, you can try creating a new strategy to set it up. If the path issue still exists with the newly created policy, make sure you are logged into the computer as an administrator. Otherwise it could be a corrupt group policy file.

    Best regards

    Hi GianGA,

Thank you for posting in the Microsoft Community Forums.

Here are detailed steps to help you configure Group Policy to manage power settings for Windows 10 and Windows 11 clients on Windows Server 2019.

Open the Group Policy Management tool.

In the tree directory on the left side of the Group Policy Management console, right-click on the Domain or Organizational Unit (OU) and select Create a GPO and link it in this domain.

Name the new GPO, e.g. “Power Settings Policy”.

Right-click on the created GPO and select Edit.

In the Group Policy Management Editor, navigate to the following path: Computer Configuration -> Policies -> Administrative Templates -> System -> Power Management. In the right window, there are settings such as Power Management, Sleep Settings, etc. You can make the relevant settings according to your needs.

    Best regards
