Keyboard and Mouse Issue Win11

I've been trying to figure this out for an hour and I need a little bit of help. I recently bought a new laptop to play smaller games and be a bit productive - filler info, I know, but context is important. Anyway, this laptop came with Windows 11. I also bought a USB-C mouse for it so I can keep both USB ports free.

The concern I'm trying to address is this: when I press and hold buttons on the keyboard, my mouse clicking does not respond. Can someone please tell me what to do? I'm absolutely stuck here.

    Hello,

There are some details that we need to confirm with you so that we can accurately solve the problem:

Is there no response when you use the keyboard and mouse key combination? Does this phenomenon only occur in certain specific applications (a game or office software)? Does the mouse function normally when used alone?

You can first check that the new computer has all available driver updates and patches installed. In addition, you can use another mouse to test to rule out mouse hardware problems.

If the issue persists,  please kindly provide more details.

    Best regards
