What Are the Best Ways to Fix Windows 11 Performance Issues After an Update?

After updating to the latest version of Windows 11, I’ve noticed slower performance, occasional lag, and higher CPU usage. I’ve tried basic troubleshooting like restarting, updating drivers, and running system scans, but the issues persist.

Has anyone else experienced similar problems? What are the best solutions to optimize performance after a Windows update? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Here's what to do in order to get the best performance from Windows:

1- Only install Windows on supported hardware.

2- After installing, only add hardware that is supported on the version of Windows you have.

3- Only install apps that are supported on the version of Windows you have.

4- Only operate Windows according to Microsoft's instructions, and don't make unsupported changes to the operating system.

5- Keep Windows free of malware.

I follow these steps myself, and my Windows 11 and Windows 10 computers run quickly and are trouble free, with no crashes, no lags, no strange behavior.

    Hello,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community forum.

Based on the description, I understand your question is related to update.

If the performance is affected significantly after you install one single update, it is recommended to uninstall that update and then monitor the machine's performance.

You can try uninstall update in Settings/ Windows update/ Update history.

Also, I checked the win 11 update history website, but it seems there is no such known issue published under the latest update.
