Everytime I boot up my pc, I get the bitlocker recovery screen, after I enter the key, I can't sign in because it says I have to set up a pin.

I have a 24 version of All-in-one PC, recently it all started with me messing around Services app and turning off two of the listed in the Services app which I forgot unfortunately, then restarted my PC which caused an issue when I logged in so I turned the two options back to on and restarted my PC and then I get an error in the pin screen saying “Something happened and your pin isn’t available. Click to set up your pin again.” When I click "Set up my PIN" I get the message “explorer.exe - System Error | The system detected an overrun of a stack-based buffer in this application. This overrun could potentially allow a malicious user to gain control of this application.” and so I entered diagnostics mode and I did that main strategy from YouTube videos when you open Regedit in CMD inside Recovery Options, click on local machine, click on the file, and load hive, I only see my Boot X drive instead of my local c-drive which is weird. I tried to change the drive name in cmd but didn’t work on my end since it’s stuck on X drive. I've done startup repair at least 30+ times, and the system restore and system image don't work because I get an error. I've tried command prompts in CMD in diagnostics that have to do with drives or OS devices such as the osdevice prompt which gets me an error message saying "The boot configuration data store could not be opened. The requested system device cannot be found." I've run these used commands but doesn't work either "diskpart, list disk, select disk 0, list part, list vol, exit" and these are my results

disk part = Microsoft DiskPart version 10.0.22621.1

list disk = There are no fixed disks to show.

select disk 0 = The disk you specified is not valid. There is no disk selected.

list part = There is no disk selected to list partitions. Select a disk and try again.

list vol = There are no volumes.

exit = Leaving DiskPart...

(I guess it says version 10 even though it's Windows 11 or is it different?) This is weird because how is my PC able to boot up if no disk drive is shown? I did the Processor, System Board test in UEFI Firmware Settings which says I have one disk drive so why CMD doesn't show it?

I also tried to work UEFI Firmware Settings mostly on the Boot menu and BIOS Setup and it got me nowhere.

I tried System Recovery in UEFI but gets me an error code of 0xc0000225

So now when I shut down and boot it up I get the Bitlocker recovery, once I enter the key I get in but I get a msconfig explorer.exe error message and have to set up my PIN. Is there anyone that can help me solve this?

    Hello,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community forum.

Based on the description, I understand your question is related to Bitlocker.

You can try use below command to disable bitlocker of that drive:

Replace <recovery password> with your 48-digit recovery key, replace C with your current problem drive letter:

    manage-bde -unlock C: -recoverypassword <recovery password>

After unlock, disable bitlocker use this command, replace C with your current drive letter:

    manage-bde -off C:

Then boot into machine, and check if there will be error again. If there is no error, try reenable BitLocker in settings and remember to backup the new recovery key.

    Have a nice day.

    Best Regards,

    Molly

Hello! I believe that I don't have a recovery password. Is there a way to see my recovery password?

Thanks but I do know about my recovery key, it's just that once I enter it, it puts me on the log in screen and I can't login due to the explorer.exe error I said and the problem that I can't create a pin due to getting the same error.
