    Hello Saify Ind,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community forum.

As of my knowledge cutoff date in October 2023, Microsoft typically requires a new license purchase when upgrading to a new major version of Windows Server, such as moving from Windows Server 2022 to an anticipated future version like Windows Server 2025. That being said, the exact details can depend on your licensing agreement with Microsoft, such as if you have Software Assurance coverage, which might provide upgrade rights.

To get the most accurate and updated information, it's best to contact Microsoft or your licensed Microsoft reseller directly. They can provide specific guidance based on your current licensing and any new policies that may be in place for future releases.

I hope the information above is helpful.

If you have any question or concern, please feel free to let us know.

    Best Regards,

    Daisy Zhou
