Hi all,

while running the cluster validation report i get this error in the network part.

The cluster seems to be working fine.

Do you have any idea why this error occurs?

Thanks

Dario

    Hello ,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community forum.
There may be several reasons for encountering the issue of 'error occurred while verifying IP configuration' while running cluster validation report:

    1. Ensure that the IP configuration of all nodes in the cluster is correct. Check the following:
Is the IP address of each node unique and within the same subnet. Is the subnet mask consistent with the gateway settings.
    2. The communication between cluster nodes usually relies on DNS. Ensure that the DNS configuration of all nodes is correct and able to resolve the host names of other nodes. You can try using the ping command to test the connectivity between nodes.
    3. Firewalls may block communication between cluster nodes. Check the firewall settings to ensure that the required ports for the cluster (such as 3343, 135, 445, etc.) are allowed to open.
    4. Check the status of the network adapters to ensure they are working properly. You can try restarting the network adapter or updating the network driver.
    5. Ensure that the cluster service is started on all nodes. You can check by following these steps:
Open the 'Services' management tool. Find the 'Cluster Service' and ensure its status is' Running '.
    6. If the nodes in the cluster are running different versions of the operating system or cluster software, it may result in validation failure. Ensure that all nodes are running the same version of software.
    7. Check the cluster log files, which can usually be found in C: \ Windows \ Cluster \ Reports or C: \ Windows \ Cluster \ Logs. The log file may contain more detailed error information to help you locate the problem.

I hope the information above is helpful.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to let us know.

    Regards,
    Jill Zhou

    Hi Jill,

I've already tried to solve issue by these basic steps, but still no way.

Can you take a look at cluster.log found in C: \ Windows \ Cluster \ Reports?

I can send it to you.

    Thanks

    Greetings

    Dario
