Issues on Turning on the "Hyper-V" & "Windows Subsystem for Linux" features on my PC.

So i have been trying to install and run Ubuntu on my PC. I followed the general commands one need to use through Power shell (administrator), like wsl --install etc etc. Now, there's an error coming when i run the ubuntu app, "WslRegisterDistribution failed with error: 0x8004032d

Error: 0x8004032d (null)

Press any key to continue..."

So i watched some youtube videos and they told me to enable the above 2 mentioned features. But when i restart my PC after enabling these 2 features, a brief message is displayed on a black screen saying, "We couldn't complete the features. No need to worry -- undoing the changes. Please keep your computer on." And when i check those 2 features again in the control panel, these 2 features become unchecked again.
A little back story is, prior to this i had tried installing and running VMware a dozen times but to no success. So i had to uninstall it. I asked these similar queries to a couple of AI's and all of them said the same thing, that if i had Vmware or VirtualBox installed previously or currently they could be interfering with it. Please tell me what should i do. i have been manually deleting all possible files, folders registries related to VmWare but no success yet. Please tell me if there are any Third-party apps that could erase or delete such hidden files and directories concerning a particular software. I have tried IoBit uninstaller, Geek uninstaller and BC Uninstaller but they only delete applications and their registries currently installed. Also to keep in mind i uninstalled that VmWare manually which left some residuals.
Please tell me what are the possible solutions. Do I Clean Install my Windows 11 ? Or is there any 3rd party app?
I have been stuck from past 8 days.

    Hi,

Please make sure that virtualization is enabled in the BIOS/UEFI. It could be Intel VT-x or AMD-V.

Hyper-V is not necessary for WSL. You only need to turn on the Virtual Machine Platform and Windows Subsystem for Linux features, especially for Windows 11 Home which is not supported to enable Hyper-V.

Third party virtualization software like VMWare or VirtualBox can cause conflicts between hypervisors. It is recommended to use the installer to remove the software rather than manually removing files and registries. I have never tried that, but you may want to contact VMWare or ask in the VMWare forum about how to completely remove it manually.
