As I am moving the website, I am handling for the county to a Windows server as it is their requirement for additional security. I am installing Docker on my Windows Microsoft Server, and I've encountered many challenges throughout the installation. Obviously, the app is an important app For Kendall County, so I don't want to mess up.

The issues impede the progress, and I seek guidance on troubleshooting and resolving these obstacles.

Specifically, I'm interested in understanding common problems associated with Docker installation on Microsoft Server and the recommended steps to overcome them. Could you provide a comprehensive overview, including insights into

  • compatibility checks, virtualization technology settings,
  • considerations related to Windows updates,
  • potential firewall and antivirus interference,
  • prerequisites such as containerization features,
  • the importance of using the latest Docker Desktop version, examining installation logs and error messages,
  • verifying user permissions, network configuration requirements, and the role of community forums and documentation in seeking solutions?
  • Your detailed guidance would be immensely helpful in ensuring a successful Docker installation on my Microsoft Server environment.
