RDP Connection Lags Then Disconnects After Clicking Into A Folder

Hello

My TeamViewer license recently expired and I did not renew. I successfully setup Remote Desktop and am able to connect to my computer from my cell phone through the internet, and also locally using my hostname. The problem I am having is once I am connected everything is fine until I open a folder, sometimes it allows me to open two folders, and then it disconnects, and reconnects again after a minute or so. This happens when I am trying to connect to this computer from my cell phone and any other computer I get my hands on, either through the internet or locally. What is the cause of this?

Things I've tried:

-Forwarded port 3389 on my Linksys router

-Disabled IPv4 SPi firewall protection on my router

-Disabled Filter anonymous Internet requests on my router

-Changed the RDP port in the Windows Registry - and also forwarded that port on my router

-Uninstalled TeamViewer and rebooted the PC

-Stopped and started all RDP related Services

-Allowed port 3389 in Windows Firewall - inbound and outbound

-Allowed Remote Desktop app in Windows Firewall - Inbound and outbound

I feel there is nothing left to do...

*Host Machine is Windows 10 22H2 and I have a 600mbps Internet connection*

Installed on: 3/15/2023

OS build: 19045.4598

    Hello,

It seems that there is a problem with the remote desktop connection or the folder itself. May I know if this problem only occur when you open a specific folder? Try to access other resources or applications on the remote destination host to see if the same phenomenon exists.

Make sure you have the permissions you need to open the folder first. A lack of permission may result in an abnormal remote session. At the same time, if the folder contains a large number of files or very large files, it may cause remote session overload. Try accessing another folder to see if the problem still exists.

You can try to reproduce the problem on the local client as well as on the remote computer, while checking the event viewer for any errors or warnings about the remote session. Please enable the options below before viewing.

Please add the above information so that we can accurately help you solve the problem.

    Best regards
