Hello. I have a windows 10 ASUS laptop but it now have a problem that it switches off when you are in the middle of something and when you try to switch it on, it won't switch on. You have to wait for about a few days for it to switch on. When you switch it on it will be having a flat battery. It has done it for the third time now. Now it is refusing to switch on. When I connect it to the charger it is showing the light that its charging but doesn't switch on the screen. Would you have an idea what is the problem?

    Hello,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community forum.

Based on the description, I understand your question is related to laptop switch off.

    1. Open Control Panel/ Power Options/ Click on Change plan settings next to the plan you are using, then click Change advanced power settings.

Check through all related settings to see if anything in the system was changed to use battery power even while on the charger.

    1. If you recently replaced the battery, ensure it’s an OEM (original equipment manufacturer) battery. Aftermarket batteries may cause similar problems. Also check if there’s a BIOS update available for your laptop model.
    2. Inspect the battery and charging port for any physical damage. Make sure the charger and cable are functioning correctly. If possible, test with a different charger to rule out any issues with the current one.
    3. If none of the above steps work, consider taking your laptop to manufactory for further check.

    Have a nice day.

    Best Regards,

    Molly
