I have an Asus device running Windows 10 and the problem is with the battery. It shows 255% on the desktop, but as soon as I disconnect the charger, the device turns off. It seems that the problem is in the battery programming. Please advise what is the solution?

    Hello

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community forum.

At the system and software level, you can try the following solutions:

    Calibrate the Battery:

Charge your device to 100% and keep it plugged in for an additional 2 hours.

Unplug the charger and let the battery drain completely until the device shuts off.

Recharge the battery to 100% without interruption.

Check for BIOS and Firmware Updates:

Visit the ASUS Support website and enter your device model to check for any available BIOS or firmware updates.

Follow the instructions to download and install any updates.

    Use ASUS Battery Health Charging:

If your device supports it, use the ASUS Battery Health Charging feature in the MyASUS app to manage your battery's health and charging behavior.

If these steps don't resolve the issue, it might be a sign of a faulty battery that needs replacement. You can contact ASUS support for further assistance.

    Best Regards,

    Wesley Li
