Hi All,

I had a drive crash in one of my arrays the had 6 folder shares I moved the data off the array to new locations. first off I tried to unshare the folders and got the message access denied error 5. I am the admin with all the rights so I logged in as administrator same thing. I checked permissions and on some folders owner = unknown account, strange. I went into computer management to unshare the folder again access denied. Now I tried to share the moved folders with new share names again access denied. I also tried to delete the share from admin CMD line again access denied any Ideas what I should try next?

Thanks Patrick Stalteri

    Hello,

You can try to use the following steps to obtain the control of the shared folder:

Right -click the folder> Attributes> Security> Advanced> Owner. Click the "Change" button, enter "Administrator", and then click "Check Name".

    Regards,

    Zunhui
