Group policy is settings for the Proxy server is not replicating to windows OS 11.

Question

Prevent to edit proxy for the user group policy is not replicating to windows 11. While hitting the save button proxy setting is not applying in windows OS 11.

Hi, I just had a similar problem with some Windows Server 2019 AFTER I removed Internet Explorer.

The Group Policy is connected to IE, and there seem to be an invisible filter prventing the settings to be applied if IE does not exist.

Would you please tell us the detailed setting (for example: User Configurations\xxx\xxx)?

Would you please provide screenshot with the error message?

Did you edit the settings for the Proxy server on Domain Controller?

Hi Madam

As we applied Proxy server, we need to replicate through Windows 2022 domain controller group policy Settings applied in the Group policy for prevent proxy settings in the computer configuration-Windows settings-Administrative templates-Windows components-Internet Explorer-prevent changing proxy settings.

After Applying the policy its replicating in the windows 10 OS clients but its not enabling in the windows 11 .

windows OS 11 save button is Enabled and while hitting save button policy is getting crash ,

kindly resolve the issue of Group policy synchronization with Windows 11 and windows server 2022. or is there any policy is applicable to disable editing the proxy settings.

Windows 11 for proxy server settings. Have you checked the Group Policy settings and ensured they are correctly configured for Windows 11? Additionally, verifying if there are any errors in Group Policy event logs.

Did you set prevent proxy settings in the computer configuration-Windows settings-Administrative templates-Windows components-Internet Explorer-prevent changing proxy settings on one Domain Controller 2022 and apply the setting to Win 11 domain client? If so, you can check the gpresult as below:

For checking Computer Configuration within gpresult, we can follow steps below.

Logon this machine using administrator account.

Open CMD (run as Administrator).

Type gpresult /h C:\gpo.html and click Enter.

Open gpo.html and check gpo setting under "Computer Details".
You can also set the setting prevent proxy settings in the computer configuration-Windows settings-Administrative templates-Windows components-Internet Explorer-prevent changing proxy settings on the Win 11 domain client, open local group policy editor (open gpedit.msc and click Enter) **** navigate to Windows settings-Administrative templates-Windows components-Internet Explorer-prevent changing proxy settings and set it, then run gpupadte /force on this win 11 machine. At last check the result.
If it does not work above, please tell us "how its replicating in the windows 10 OS clients, but not work on win 11"?
