I have 3 Identical printers plugged physically into 3 different usb ports, They all share USB 1 they will not create seperate virtual usb ports. I have tried various ways of plugging them in before and after the machine is turned on. One printer at a time but nothing works,. I tried re-naming them using different drivers. we tested that on windows 21h2 Build 1.37.1 19044.1586 all 3 work but once the updates run this no longer works. something changed that now defaults the printers to stack on usb 1.

Tested this on multiple machines so I know it has to do with windows update.

    Hello.

First make sure your printer drivers are up to date. You can visit the printer manufacturer's website to find and download the latest drivers. If you are using a USB hub, try connecting each printer directly to the USB port on your computer.

Additionally, try running a troubleshooting tool to identify and resolve the problem. You can find it in Settings > Update and Security > Troubleshooting.

If you experience this problem after installing a version of the system update, you can also try Recovery options such as Windows rollback. For details, please refer to: Recovery options in Windows - Microsoft Support

    I hope this helps.

    Regards
