HP 6960 Wi-Fi drivers not working with 23H2

Wi-Fi can't detect SSID despite laptop and printer being on same Wi-Fi network
Saw that the pesky Wi-Fi direct was on this can cause problems as the channel is the same as the Wi-Fi router itself!
Disbled Wi-Fi direct but the Wi-Fi still wouldn't install.
USB stalls also, but installs the printer drivers, so can print at least, just cannot scan as the app isn't installed.

HP website shows drivers for Windows 11 but not if for 32 or 64 bit. I downloaded the correct software but it doesn't work with Windows 11.
The printer is 8 years old so time for a new one.

I made sure that the Wi-Fi network in the laptop is set to Private as well since that causes problems.

My laptop is a brand new Lenovo i7 with 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD

You update drivers/bios via the Levono Vatage update utility, and no other source

In win11 update esure "Get latest updates" is turned off

You install full feature software/drivers from HP support specific to the model and follow the setup prompts.

Hi, I’m Vinay. Thanks for reaching out.

I’m here to help you today.

HP typically provides drivers for both 32-bit and 64-bit systems. If not explicitly stated, the drivers should work for both.

Go to below website then download and install latest drivers

    https://support.hp.com/in-en/drivers/hp-officej...

You can also install "HP Smart app" . It will help you to install correct drivers for your printer .

Thank you I downloaded the correct drivers and the printer is joined to the same Wi-Fi network as the laptop but the driver installation does not complete. They fail half way through.
It is a failure of the HP drivers.

Hi all of the drivers are up the date on the laptop. The problem is with the HP drivers for W11 and this printer.
Next printer will be a Canon as HP has gone down hill sadly.
