    Hello,Salsabila Asyifa

    Thank you for your reply,

In response to your BitLocker issue, all we can do at this point is help you find a recovery key.

    1. Find the key through AD, this program requires your machine to be domained in advance and configured with the policy in the figure, otherwise the recovery key will not be uploaded to AD.
    2. Through Microsoft and Azure accounts, we recommend you to look for all the accounts you have logged in on this machine to find the correct recovery key.
    3. If you previously managed recovery keys through MBAM, you can refer to the following documentation to find the keys:

Perform BitLocker management with MBAM 2.5 - Microsoft Desktop Optimization Pack | Microsoft Learn

In addition, because your machine has suffered physical damage, so the correct BitLocker key may not be able to decrypt the SSD, and after decryption may also generate garbled code, resulting in the inability to read the data, it is recommended that you contact a three-party data recovery vendors to help you to recover the data in the SSD!

    Best Regards,

    Chengxili

    Thanks for the reply,

On your last reply you provide some methods as following:

    Active Directory (AD)

    • Azure Active Directory (AAD) (I'm using stand alone laptop, and the laptop is broke beyond repair so how can I configure the policies?, any suggestions?)
    • Microsoft Account as I said on my first questions, NONE of it match. Any solutions?
    • MBAM
      1. link you provide is not working.
      2. WDYM, MBAM ??? as I said before MY LAPTOP IS BROKE BEYOND REPAIR, I only manage to retrieve the SSD, and Secondary HDD, and YES both are locked.
    • 3rd management application
      any example?
    • Other methods like notepad/pdf/USB
Dude, I cannot read anything on my SSD, so how?

FYI should I provide proof of ownership? just to unlock my locked SSD, so I can retrieve my work data on my standalone laptop?

and how the hell in the world BitLocker became active without my notice? Microsoft BitLocker so called "Technology is STOOPID"

I hope you understand my frustration, even when I use Data Recovery Services it yielded only ENCRYPTED DATA!!!!! https://prnt.sc/YiUEywfHuDrEhttps://prnt.sc/kxUQ5uIG_Wythttps://prnt.sc/zptSAQkRqSyV FFS

now who's gonna take responsible for this stoopid Microsoft BitLocker Technology?????

what can I do to retrieve my own data? it's already due for 2 month, and my job is in jeopardy now.

    Hello,萨尔萨比拉·阿西法

Regarding the recovery key, you can find it in the following places:

    • Active Directory (AD)
    • Azure Active Directory (AAD)
    • Microsoft Account
    • MBAM
    • 3rd management application
    • Other methods like notepad/pdf/USB

1.If you are logged in with ad account,You need to first ensure that the following policies are configured.

    Image

Please install the following feature on ad dc side, then open ADUC and look for the recovery key.

    Image

Domain Administrator privileges are required or delegated permissions must have been granted by a domain administrator.

Normal users will not see the recovery key and cannot search for it.

2.If it's a Microsoft or Azure networked account login, it may backup into the Onedrive corresponding to one of those accounts.Try to find it from the following link

    Azure Links:Microsoft Azure

Microsoft Links:Sign in to your account

3.If you are using MBAM to manage the recovery key, you can check the key at the following URL:

    https://mbamiis.mbam2012.cn/helpdesk/KeyRecoveryPage.aspx

4.The recovery key may be stored in the 3rd management application, or it may exist somewhere like notepad/pdf/USB.You can try looking in these places.

    Best regards,

    Chengxili
