Windows PC showing as "media device" on network

My PC shows as a “Media Device” on my home network. I see the same thing from all Windows devices connected to the network. It gives an error when I click on the device. I have my PC set up for file sharing and that works fine, it's just this extra device showing up that I can't seem to get rid of. Any tips to remove it would be appreciated. Also, it's only this PC that is doing this, my other Windows PCs are not creating media devices like this.

I redacted the device name in the image, but it's just my computer's name.

    Hello Josh C5,

There may be two reasons for the LAN shared computer to appear in the media device. I suggest you try to turn it off:

    1. Enable media streaming in Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network and Sharing Center\Media Streaming Options.
    2. Enable the Project This Computer feature in Settings\System Options, and do not select Always Turn Off (Recommended) when agreeing to project on other devices.

    Best Regards

    Zunhui

It turns out the Project to this PC feature was enabled, and when I set it to “Always Off (recommended)” that removed the media device. Thank you for your help!
