    Hi Sanaa Al-Tamimi,

Thank you for posting in the Microsoft Community Forums.

By configuring DFS access rights, you can precisely control which users or groups can access specific folders. This is an effective way to hide folder contents and ensure that only authorized users can see them.

    Open the DFS Management Console.

Navigate to the DFS namespace that contains the target folder.

Right-click on the target folder and select Properties.

In the Security tab, configure the appropriate permissions to ensure that only authorized users or groups have access.

Ensure that the security policy of the DFS server is properly configured to prevent unauthorized access.

    Best regards

    Neuvi Jiang

Dear Neuvi , I don't need to hide folder contents only, I know this done by change the permissions, I need to hide the shared folder itself for some users when they search for it, and for some users it will be visible when they search for it.

Forex: the HR shared folder will be visible for HR department only, and the IT shared folder will be visible for IT department only.

Please I need your support ASAP.

I think this is what you need, It allowed me to hide the DFS share, but I could still type it in and it worked. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/storage/dfs-namespaces/enable-access-based-enumeration-on-a-namespace
