Does bitlocker help MSFT make money?

I ask because bitlocker is the absolute worst system ever devised. Why in the world would you guys risk everybody’s PC with no back up? I also just lost my computer to this bitlocker key which I never turned on in the first place, just locked me out during class. Thanks a lot Microsoft!!

You guys clearly do this so that customers who only know windows are forced to buy again, or at least the chances are higher, which Microsoft knows very well.

There is no reason a $2,000 purchase should go down the drain when I did nothing to bring it about.

Not only am I done with Microsoft, but I am getting support from our IT department including the chair, and I’m just getting started. I will have thousands of people in no time condemning you guys for this practice.

    Hello,

I'm sorry to hear that you've had a negative experience with BitLocker. However, I want to clarify that BitLocker is a security feature that is designed to protect your data in case your device is lost or stolen. It is not intended to cause harm to your device or to force customers to buy new ones.

Please try to find the BitLocker recovery key by referring to this link:

If you can't find the BitLocker recovery key, the only solution is to reset the system or upgrade the system.

    Best Regards,

    Hania Lian
