    What account did you use to sign in the machine?

    You can try to run CMD as Administrator and check if it helps.

    I am also getting similar issue and it's not limited to Windows desktop. We are running the command prompt in elevated mode. The error only comes when its trying to retrieve Computer configuration but works fine if we use the /scope:user switch.
