Scheduled Task SChannel error ID 36882

I have an application that I can run manually and it sends email using the Microsoft Identity Client and Exchange 365 but when set it up as a scheduled task, using the same account, it fails and generates a SChannel event ID 36882. Wouldn't it be using the same certificates trusts as the user? How do I resolve the issue?

    Hello,

To resolve the issue with Event ID 36882 in Task Scheduler, you can try the following adjustments:

Try running the task with the "Run whether user is logged on or not" option to see if that makes a difference. Make sure the option "Run with highest privileges" is checked. This can sometimes resolve issues related to access to system resources, including the certificate stores.

Try changing the trigger type (e.g., from a time-based trigger to an event-based trigger) or the schedule to see if that makes a difference.

    Best regards,

    Karlie Weng
