Windows 11 in rollback / bitlocker loop 1 Dec 2024

Hi

My HP Z9 was working fine yesterday.

Overnight something seems to have updated and it is now wanting the bitlocker code. Message says something has changed to security policy.

When I enter it and try to select Windows rollback, it goes away and then comes back with the bitlocker screen again.

I'm aware of the MS rollback issue in October 2024 but assume any updates would have happened by now.

Any ideas ?

I've run HP diagnostics and all is okay

    Great community - assume this is common so I've answer my own question

    have a look at https://iboysoft.com/bitlocker/bitlocker-recovery-screen.html

    There is a Microsoft response post as well but seems to miss the "password" bit, so makes it useless
