Our RDS environment sometimes won't let remote users in and rebooting either the Gateway or the Broker will sometimes fix it if not rebooting the other does

we have a public facing gateway that points to our broker server then out to the RDS servers, (both server 2019)

randomly it stops letting users in with an authentication error

It works fine for random periods of time sometimes it will work for days at a time other times we have to reboot every 30 minutes.

The only thing that "fixes" it is rebooting the broker or gateway but it's random what server needs restarted for it to work.

I can't find anything abnormal in the event viewer on either server

I see nothing abnormal in the services when it's broken compared the when it is working.

What should I be looking for to resolve this issue?

    Hello Dylan Kunkel

Due to the intermittent nature of the authentication issue, you might try using network packet capture toolto capture the network traffic during incidents. It can pinpoint the root cause and make more informed decisions about how to resolve it effectively.  Look for TCP retransmissions, resets, or unusual patterns in the network traffic during the times when authentication failures occur.

    Thanks,
