Shadow Copy Scheduled Task Not Running

We have shadow copy enabled on our file shares, Server 2022 Core, we have it set to run weekly starting at 9am-5pm every hour for a duration of 8 hours Monday-Friday. It was working fine, then now it will do a snapshot at 9am, but nothing afterwards. I can do manual snapshots with no issue. When I look at the scheduled task it doesn’t show a failure, will say last successful ran 9am, next run 10am, when 10am hits, still says last good was 9am and next run is at 11am. Last week a different server was having this issue, I’m not sure what I did but it fixed it and this one was working fine. Now this week both are not working. This issue seems to come and go in waves and I cannot figure it out.

    Hello!

To begin with, it's important to investigate whether there are any errors or warnings related to VSS and the task scheduler documented in the Event Viewer. This can provide valuable insights into what might be going wrong.

Next, consider adjusting the settings of the scheduled task to observe if these changes yield different outcomes. Additionally try setting up a less complex schedule to see if the issue persists.

    Best regards,

    Karlie Weng
