Hello ,
Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community forum.
Based on your description, here are some possible solutions and troubleshooting steps:
- Make sure the network connection between PC A and PC B is stable. You can try the following steps:
Make sure both computers are connected to the same network.
Use the command prompt to ping the IP address of PC B and check for latency and packet loss.
- Make sure network discovery and file sharing are enabled on PC B:
Open "Control Panel" > "Network and Sharing Center" > "Change advanced sharing settings".
In the "Private" section, make sure "Turn on network discovery" and "Enable file and printer sharing" are checked.
- Make sure the network adapter drivers for PC A and PC B are up to date.
- Make sure Windows Firewall is not blocking file sharing.
- Try to access the shared drive directly using the IP address instead of through a web browser.
- Make sure the shared drive permissions on PC B are set correctly:
Right-click the drive you want to share and select "Properties".
Go to the "Sharing" tab, click "Advanced Sharing", make sure "Share this folder" is checked, and check the permission settings.
- Fast Startup may cause some network problems. You can try disabling it:
Open Control Panel > Power Options > Choose what the power button does.
Click Change settings that are currently unavailable and uncheck Turn on fast startup.
- Try restarting PC A and PC B and test again.
