I think KB5050577 and KB5052093 fixed the problem for me.

    Thanks!

    Hello,

Here are two potential solutions you might consider:

    1. Replace the mstsc.exe and mstscax.dll files located in C:\Windows\System32 with versions from the 23H2 update.
    2. Under the "Experience" tab, uncheck the option for persistent bitmap caching.

    I hope this information helps.

    Best regards,

    Karlie Weng

    Hi
I tried to disable the flag you suggested but I get no improvements.
If I use the previous version that is in windows.old I don't have the management bar and
I'm missing the options, I'm attaching the screen shot.
    Thanks for the support

I was having the same problem with the distorted display when using the built-in RDP tool AND a third-party app (that uses the underlying MS RDP files) after upgrading to 24H2. Putting back the old files from 23H2 resolved the issue in my third-party app (RemoteDesktopManager by Devolutions) and while the built-in RDP client also started working, there were some toolbar issues as described above.

    Hopefully this can be fixed!
