I need to know when NAMP220.PROD.OUTLOOK went live for Corporate Users? Why did Microsoft changed its Exchange Server Convention from e.g., NAMPRD04 to NAMP220? I noticed my outlook/hotmail emails transitioned to 220 servers Dec 2023.

    Hi 1299HB4421,

Thank you for posting in the Microsoft Community Forums.

Regarding the exact time when NAMP220 and OUTLOOK will be available for enterprise users, I have not found any official announcement or information to clarify this information.Microsoft's product updates and releases are usually announced on its official website, official blogs or press releases, so we recommend you to follow Microsoft's official channels to get the latest information.

As for the reason why Microsoft changed the Exchange Server convention from NAMPRD04 to NAMP220, this may be due to a number of factors.Microsoft may periodically update its server architecture and naming conventions to improve the scalability, security, or maintainability of the system. In addition, as technology continues to advance and user needs change, Microsoft may also need to adjust its server architecture to accommodate these changes.

Your reference to Outlook/Hotmail email being moved to the NAMP220 server in December 2023 may be due to a server migration or architectural update being performed by Microsoft. Such migrations are typically done to improve service availability, performance, or security. During the migration process, Microsoft will ensure that users' email data is properly migrated and backed up to minimize the impact on users.

    Best regards

    Neuvi

HI, Thank you for your reply. I am an enterprise user, can I reach out to someone at Microsoft to the specific information? What does NAMP even stand for. I've heard North American Microsoft Protection? I also note that NAMP220 was first being discussed on these forums starting in mid 2021. Would love to get more info. Thanks!
