I signed into my brand new windows laptop with my ucsc school email and i didn’t realize it would not allow me to access my bitlocker keys. A couple of years later (today) I need the key to unlock my laptop. I sign into my account using my organization email, i get in, i go to devices, i see my device, i press bitlocker keys, then i am prompted to a page that says i do not have access contact your admin or it. So i did that and my schools IT said there is nothing they can do, this has nothing to do with them and to contact microsoft support. The support page is incredibly, ridiculously, and I 100% purposefully a dead end. Good luck trying to get any support there. Call the number for anything other then whah the automated machine  has for you, then you will be promoted to a dead end link by microsoft support. I have found it impossible to get into contact woth micrpsft support and all the links towards Microsoft help and support are all dead ends. I need my bitlocker keys to get my laptop back and working. I am lost, frustrated, and dont know what to do.

    Hello Billnotmurray,

thank you for posting on the Microsoft Community Forums.

I'm sorry to hear about the issues you're facing. BitLocker keys can indeed be tricky to recover, especially if they are tied to an organizational account. Even though your school IT said it's nothing to do with them, it's worth insisting and explaining that BitLocker keys for devices registered under their domain are typically managed by the organization. Ask if they have any administrative portal access to retrieve the key.

Additionally, you can try to find it by following the steps in Find your BitLocker recovery key - Microsoft Support.

**Important:**Microsoft Support is unable to provide, or recreate, a lost BitLocker recovery key.

    Good luck,

    Lei

That link is no help and im sure you noticed, i said very firmly the support links are dead ends. You just gave me a dead end answer, my schools it said they cant do anything and to contact microsoft support. Im going in circles. I need real help not a comment. But its impossible apparently.
