Copilot is unable to write the LaTeX symbols \[ and \]
I am using Copilot to help me write mathematics worksheets for 15 and 16 year old kids. When I write an equation like y = x^3 +((x-4) / (2x^2 - 3x - 5)) I want it to display properly with the second part as a fraction and centred across the page at the appropriate point. To do this I need to surround the equation with […]. Copilot thinks it is doing this but in reality it isn’t and I have wasted hours of time trying to get it to do it. As a mathematics teacher this is enormously frustrating and having to go through correcting all the LaTeX Copilot gives me is very time consuming. It is a very small thing, but if it can’t be corrected I am unable to use Copilot. I do know ChatGPT is capable of causing an equation such as the one given to display properly in a .pdf produced via a LaTeX file in Overleaf.com
