Getting emails about Azure Postgres migration from Single to Flexible server, but I have no Single servers

Hi everyone! For a little while now we've been getting warning emails from Microsoft saying that we must upgrade our Azure Database for PostgreSQL Single Server instances to Flexible Server, and that if we fail to do so, they will be automatically migrated on March 29th of this year. The email also specifies our subscription ID.

Trouble is, I don't see that we have any Single Server instances on that (or any) subscription; they're all Flexible Server already. So my question is: has anyone else seen this behavior? I'm worried that come March 29th, Azure will shut down some resource that it isn't showing me for some reason and will affect our production infrastructure.

Is the email just wrong, and safe to ignore? Looking for other folks' experiences. Thanks!

Ben

Hi Ben Kimball,

Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

As I understand it, you're concerned about the warning emails regarding the upgrade of Azure Database for PostgreSQL Single Server instances to Flexible Server. It's definitely important to ensure that your production infrastructure isn't affected.

If you’re not currently using Azure PostgreSQL Single Server and have already migrated to Flexible Server, then you can safely ignore the warning email. It’s essentially a reminder for customers still using Single Server, prompting them to check their resources.

There's no need to worry about Azure shutting down any of your resources. If you’re on Flexible Server, your setup is already up-to-date, and the migration will not affect you.

Hope this helps. Do let us know if you any further queries.
