I am experiencing an issue trying to access a Microsoft educational account provided by a Vocational Training Center. The account is not mine directly; it belongs to a colleague, so she is the one who has access to the Outlook email and the Microsoft Authenticator app.

Problem Description:

When trying to access applications like Teams or Office (both through Teams and the Microsoft website), we are prompted for a multifactor authentication code.

Upon redirecting to the Microsoft Authenticator app, it asks for a verification code, but the code never arrives.

When attempting to add the account to the Authenticator app, the following message appears: "This Microsoft account doesn't exist. Please enter a different account or create a new one."

Actions Taken:

  • Checked the internet connection.
  • Forced synchronization of the Microsoft Authenticator app.
  • Tried different devices and browsers.
  • Uninstalled and reinstalled the authentication app.
  • Checked if there is an alternative authentication method (email, SMS, etc.).

Restrictions:

  • We cannot receive the authentication code in the app or access the Outlook account to recover access.
  • We do not have the ability to generate a QR code or a Temporary Access Pass (TAP) without admin intervention.

What We Need:

Any suggestions on how to proceed, or if there is a way to reset multifactor authentication without direct access to the code or email.

Thank you in advance for any help or recommendations! :DI am experiencing an issue trying to access a Microsoft educational account provided by a Vocational Training Center.
