Outlook Reply does not leave room to write and includes reply text in sender header

Question

Does anyone know how to fix this? It doesn't happen to all the emails, only certain ones. But it's a company I correspond with a lot so it's getting annoying.

I'm running MacBook M4 pro, Sequoia OS. Recently uinstalled and reinstalled Outlook to fix some sync errors (that worked) but now this is happening. I've seen a few other folks have the same issue.

Issue: 

 Outlook Reply does not leave room to write and includes reply text in sender header.

Solution: 

Outlook / Settings / Composing

Then under Replies/Forwards; Attribution of original message

Choose "Custom" (you can leave what is prefilled).

It will change the look from the full address info to original sender email.

Does the issue occur recently on Outlook Desktop Client?

Do you have any specific operation before the issue occurred? 

To further confirm if the issue is more related to Outlook desktop client, if possible, please log in to your web mail and do the same test to check if the issue persists. 

Would you please provide a screenshot of the issue?  (In order to avoid privacy leakage, please remember to hide your personal information.） 

What is the version of your Outlook? It is recommended that you please check the Outlook client version (Help>Check for Updates) and try to upgrade to the latest version to see if the problem is resolved. 

In addition, considering data file corruption, it is proposed that you create a new profile, re-add your account to the new profile and check if the same issue still occurs.

I'll try here. I have replied to Joan's message 2x but it doesn't post. Above is a picture of the issue. I am working on the latest Desktop Outlook for Mac v16.95.

I found the following workaround:

Outlook / Settings / Composing

Then under Replies/Forwards; Attribution of original message

Choose "Custom" (you can leave what is prefilled).

which I actually like better, takes up less space. Then you can just arrow up and reply.

I found the following work-around:
