I can't view a majority of my videos on the Microsoft Photos app

Hello, I uploaded the photos and videos from my iphone earlier today. Unfortunately a majority of my videos and some of my photos can't be displayed in the photo app or video players. I simply get the message that the file format is not being supported. I am on Windows 10 and below are some of the solutions that I have already tried but have not seemed to work.

1. I purchased the HEVC Video Extensions app and already have the HEIF app installed.
2. I have uploaded some of the files in question to my one drive account.
3. I have reset and repaired the photo app in my settings.
4. My windows 10 is fully updated.
5. I know the files themselves are not corrupted as I can view them on their iphone.
6. I reuploaded the files after changing my camera setting format to be most compatible.

to open a HEVC file (High Efficiency Video Coding) under Windows, you can use the following methods:

Windows 10/11 built-in support (has already been done):

• Starting with Windows 10, there is native support for HEVC, but you may need to download the HEVC Video Extensions package from the Microsoft Store to play HEVC videos in the Photos app or Movies & TV app.
• Go to the Microsoft Store and search for “HEVC Video Extensions”. The paid package normally costs around 0.99 USD.

VLC Media Player:

• VLC Media Player supports HEVC by default.
• Download the VLC Player from the official website and install it. You can then simply double-click the HEVC file to open it.

MPC-HC (Media Player Classic - Home Cinema):

• Another free media player that supports HEVC files.
• Download MPC-HC, install it and then open the HEVC file.

Convert the file:

• If you want to convert the file to another format, you can use programs like HandBrake to convert the HEVC file to a more common format like MP4.
