Stuck in a loop is despair needing a code in the app to get into the app

Hello there. I'm trying to log into my student dashboard to access my studies. It was set up on my old phone through the authentication app. However now setting up my new phone trying to add my student account to the authenticator app it sends me a number to enter into the app which of course I can't enter because I'm not logged in. So I'm stuck in a loop locked out falling behind in my studies. I need the code to get into the app and to get the app I need the code. Any advice or fixes would be welcome. Cheers

    Thanks for your question.

    You will need to contact the IT support team of your school to help prompt a reset of your MFA methos if you do not have access to the app again.

    If they do not know what to do, just show them this link: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/entra/identity/authentication/howto-mfa-userdevicesettings#manage-user-authentication-options

    The reason you need to do is you need to backup your credentials in authenticator, if that was not done unfortunately you can only resolve this by contacting support or asking your admins/support to reset your account https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/xandr/curate/troubleshooting-multi-factor-authentication-mfa?source=recommendations
