Charged for Azure free services

I signed up for a free Azure account around a month ago to basically have a look and see what it had to offer etc. Little did I know I was being changed around £1.50 a day for the privilege. I looked at it a couple of days and then left it only to be slapped with a bill for £43 plus the charges will still running. I have tried several ways to contact Microsoft support to get some clarity on exactly what I have been charged for as their invoice doesn't tell me a thing. Only trouble is Mircosoft support is non-existent. I cannot create a support ticket no matter what I do, trying the phone line only pushes you back to the website before being cut off so it's useless. Needless to say thus far I am less than impressed with the service which I'm actually paying for. To top the whole situation off I can't even cancel my subscription or close down my account. I even tried to remove/replace my payment method but that doesn't work either. I'm really tearing my hair out here as to what to do next so really hoping someone might be able to help in some way.

    Hi Harry Booth

You may have used services that are not included in the free tier. When you sign up for an Azure free account, you receive a limited quantity of free services for 12 months. Any usage beyond these limits or any non-free services will result in charges.

To better understand the charges, I recommend checking your service usage in the Azure portal. This will allow you to identify which specific services may have caused the charges. If you're looking to avoid further costs, you can delete any resources that you no longer need.

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/cost-management-billing/manage/cancel-azure-subscription#final-charges-and-last-bill

You can actually receive free support for billing-related issues, as billing tickets are free of charge

To create a ticket, go to https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/support/create-ticketto create an incident and select Billing

let us know if any help, we will always help as you needed.!
