Hi, see:
Entra Connect connection with Active Directory - different domains
Hello,
I need to connect Microsoft Entra to my Active Directory. I'm doing this with the Microsoft Entra Connect synchronization utility, which I'm trying to install on a server other than the AD server.
But my local domain name is different from the Microsoft Entra ID domain:
My local network domain name with UPN suffix: groupepopy.local
Entra ID domain name: popy.fr
So I created the UPN suffix "popy.fr" in my Active Directory domain. But the connection is trying to be made using both names, see screenshot below:

2025-03-12T15:50:38.62+00:00 I've already looked into this procedure. But I'm afraid I'll have to check the box "Continue without matching all UPN suffixes to verified domains".
What are the negative consequences if it doesn't work?
