PostgreSQL can't be connected by Power Apps

I am trying to setup a connection on Power Apps to PostgreSQL flexible servers on Azure.

The network uses public access and allows all IPs on the PostgreSQL firewall.

I get an error related to credentials when setting up a PostgreSQL connection on Power Apps. I have also tried resetting the password but the error still appears. User's image

In the "Ensure the Correct Connector" section, what do you mean by "third-party connector or a custom connector to connect to PostgreSQL."?

For "Check Connection Credentials", I made sure it was correct.

Then for "Database Access", PostgreSQL on Azure can actually be accessed from a local device. However, when accessed with Power Apps on a web browser, the error occurred.

I tried to simulate creating PostgreSQL on Google Cloud Platform and tried to set up a connection on Power Apps. The result was that it could connect without any problems.

Why does the problem only occur if Power Apps creates a connection to PostgreSQL on Azure? Is there anything else that needs to be ensured on PostgreSQL in Azure so that Power Apps can connect?

psql – a terminal-based utility to connect to the PostgreSQL server.

As I understand, you are facing trouble in connection to PostgreSQL Server from Power Platform, Powerapps.

Please let us know if my understanding is different from your ask.

I assume you are using Power Apps "Premium" class account as PostgreSQL connector is available from Premium Class in all Power Apps regions except the following:

US Government (GCC High)

US Department of Defense (DoD).

Please make sure below prerequires meet:

PostgreSQL connector requires NPGSQL ADO.NET provider 4.0.10 to be installed. To install NPGSQL ADO.NET provider, go to release page and download the relevant release. The provider architecture (32-bit or 64-bit) needs to match the architecture of the product where you intent to use the connector. When installing, make sure that you select NpgSQL GAC Installation to ensure NpgSQL itself is added to your machine. The minimun supported PostgreSQL database version is version 9.4.

Regarding the PostgreSQL connection reference you provided, it means that PostgreSQL here is on premise (not cloud).

Then for Azure Database for PostgreSQL, it is not in the connector list in Power Apps, does this mean that Power Apps cannot connect to PostgreSQL in Azure?

Actually, this problem has been resolved and can be connected after I checked "Encrypt Connection". But when I try to create an application by connecting to external data, PostgreSQL does not appear in the options. Is this due to the license I am using, because currently my account only has a Power app for Office 365 license (M365 E3 bundling). While PostgreSQL has a Premium label on its connector, does this mean that a Premium license is needed so that Power Apps can display data options from PostgreSQL?
