Confirming that this is still an issue on 2 different PCs for me; both using workspaces. Version 134.0.3124.66

Still an issue in Version 135.0.3179.73. This is wild that it hasn't been fixed in over 5 weeks...

I can reproduce this issue in Workspace, and the problem seems to occur only when Edge shows Workspace favorites in favorites bar, instead of grouping them in a single folder. When I tested with Workspace favorites stored in a single folder named after Workspace name (you'll also find your personal favorites shown in favorites bar), no crash was observed.

It can serve as a workaround. Please navigate to edge://flags/#edge-workspaces-favorites-bar and look for Show Workspace Favorites in Favorites Bar. You need to disable this flag and restart your browser. You should find the problem fixed after that.

Meanwhile, please report this problem to the Dev Team by sending feedback in Microsoft Edge at ··· menu --> Help and feedback --> Send feedback. Hopefully this problem can be fixed in the future releases.

I also see this issue and I'm on Microsoft Edge Version 134.0.3124.72 (Official build) (64-bit). Platform is Windows 11 Home.

This appears to be a cross-platform issue when the "Show Workspace Favorites in Favorites Bar" flag enabled.

Hi @Anonymous , thanks for the guidance. The workaround and feedback form are helpful, and I had actually already filled out both before stumbling across this post. Great post and right to the point.

Unfortunately, the workaround--although helpful in preventing crashes--leaves us all in a lurch as we can no longer use Workspace Favorites the way they were originally intended. We have structured our Favorites (some of us, it appears, for the past several months!) around enabling the "Show Workspace Favorites in Favorites Bar" flag, as that's what has been recommended to us*. I personally painstakingly moved over bookmarks and workflow from another browser, with a lot of excitement I might add, only to shortly after experience the Edge crashing issue, forcing me to disable the flag.

That being said, the Edge feedback form you pointed to us might eventually help get us a fix. However, we're asking for a fix for a hidden flag set to a non-default value! It doesn't inspire confidence that it'll be prioritized; I'm afraid it'll be overlooked by the Edge team even though a good number of people are likely affected by this.

Furthermore, the Edge feedback form requires a URL, implying that it's designed to handle web page-related issues. I fear that our feedback reports about this very disruptive issue will just get lost alongside dime-a-dozen "web page-related" reports that are likely low priority for the Edge team. What URL do you recommend we fill in?

More importantly, do you know of a more direct way to draw attention to this non-web page-related crashing issue? Perhaps via another channel like social media or WhatsApp that could expedite things and reach the right people more quickly/efficiently? Maybe a direct email address where we can escalate the issue or get someone's attention? Failing that, who can we reach out to to request edits to the Edge feedback form that differentiate web-page related issues from core Edge issues like this one? Any guidance would be welcome as I would love to rely on and trust Edge for my daily workflow and it seems really promising thus far as a browser to switch over to.

feels like we don't get to have the favorites bar for workspaces anymore, it was replaced by the workspace favorites folder, and changing the flag at edge://flags/#edge-workspaces-favorites-bar worked temporarily and isn't maintained
