Hello Marc Hermitte,
Thank you for posting in Q&A forum.
Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
- Ensure that you are entering the correct network credentials when prompted. Sometimes, updates can reset or change network settings.
- The update might have disabled SMB1, which is required for some NAS devices. To re-enable it:
• Go to Control Panel > Programs > Turn Windows features on or off.
• Scroll down and check the box for SMB 1.0/CIFS File Sharing Support.
• Click OK and restart your computer.
- Check if there is a firmware update available for your NAS. Manufacturers often release updates to ensure compatibility with the latest Windows updates.
- Resetting your network settings can sometimes resolve connectivity issues:
• Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Status.
• Scroll down and click on Network reset.
• Follow the prompts and restart your computer.
- If the steps above don't work, you can try uninstalling the update again:
• Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
• Click on View update history > Uninstall updates. • Find the KB5053598 update and uninstall it.
• After uninstalling, pause updates to prevent it from reinstalling automatically.
I hope the information above is helpful.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to let us know.
