PowerPlatform Mobile Offline Profile Optimisation Issue

Question

Background:

I have build a an Offline Inspection PowerApp and optimised the Mobile Offline Profile Using the Custom Filter Profile Custom Filters.jpg. The intention is to allow App to download all Items with the Status "Open", which have been "modified in last 7 days". This should optimise perfromance of the App for the User, while meeting the defined scope of the App. The App is used by everyone in the business for inspection activity, and I want Users to avoid duplicating issues already raised and open.

The behaviour I have observed:

The custom filters operate as expected when the Mobile Offline Profile is first published, but when the User changes an items status, or items exceed the modified on last 7 days custom filter rules do not dynamically refresh and reapply. The result is that the Optimisation rules no longer work, and items contunue to accumulate and are downloaded onto the Users device.

Workaround:

If I edit the Offline Mobile Profile, change the custom filter, save and republish the profile, the new custom filter optimisation settings apply to the App, and once again the data downloaded is optimised.

Question:

Can anyone confirm if this is expected behaviour of Mobile Offline Profiles, or is it a bug that will be fixed?
