Apple School Manager

Question

I am having an issue with Apple School Manager and Federated Managed Apple ID's
Our users have a gmail email account and we use Azure to Federate with Apple School Manager to create Managed AppleID's. All our student MID's work. Our Faculty MID's (managed AppleID's) do not. Our naming convention in AD/Azure is usersfirstname and first initial of their last name so example. John Smith, username is johns, this is for both Faculty and Students. Emails are slightly different. Faculty Email addresses are first initial of first name "dot" lastname so j.smith@keyman students emails are exactly like their AD/Azure credentials, firstname and first initial of their last name johns@keyman
Students can login, teachers cannot.

Hi @James Van Dyke , Are you setting the teacher's emails in AzureAD or with Apple School Manager? Are you authenticating there as well? If you're authenticating the students in AzureAD the naming convention will match their UPN. But if a teacher logs in with their email it may not match their UPN. I would check to see that the teachers' emails match the email used for their UPN. Hope this helps.
