Visual Studio is having trouble creating a new Azure Function. Instead of the Azure Function icon, it's showing the C# icon

I'm trying to create a new Azure function in Visual Studio, but I'm encountering an issue. When I attempt to create the function, instead of the Azure Function icon, it displays the C# icon. This is preventing me from properly setting up the Azure Function project. Has anyone experienced this issue before? Any solutions or suggestions would be appreciated!

Carlos Colon 0 Reputation points2025-03-19T15:18:15.2766667+00:00 Just upgraded to Microsoft.Azure.Functions.Worker.Sdk 2.0.1 and Microsoft.Azure.Functions.Worker 2.0.0 and running into the same issue. I have the latest (4.0.6821) function core tools installed.

Specifically the
"Microsoft.Azure.Functions.Worker.Sdk"These have made it work.

.ConfigureFunctionsWorkerDefaults()is the first thing done by the HostBuilder. Previously we had some custom wiring done first there and that was now causing issues after the package upgrade. -
