Teams captcha not preventing fireflies Notetaker from joining the meeting

Recently implemented teams captcha to block ai bots and notetaker.

However, it did not block the fireflies notetaker.

Scenario:

External guest user is invited
External guest user who configured fireflies forward all the invite to ******@fireflies.ai
external user register and configure fireflies with default configuration
when they join the meeting with their perosnal account teams captcha works
but same time as soon as meeting start ******@fireflies.ai joins automatically

We have to make sure anonymous users are not allowed to by pass lobby else it will bypass the lobby and enter the room.

The captcha feature does not prevent bots that what our findings are

I had a ticket opened with Microsoft. Their response was that current solution (lobby and capt ha) is good enough but still they are working on something else without any time frame. In other words there's no real solution.

According to your case description and screenshot information, this is more likely to be configured in the Fireflies AI settings.

For this, please refer to How to disable the Fireflies auto-join settings.

We need to prevent this as Office 365 admin and resolution to prevent is given as end user which we do not have control.

We have HR Or team schedule meeting where candidate or user forward to invite the personal account which is using ai notes. We need to prevent AI bot from joining the meeting

@Robin Sheng-MSFT With all due respect but you didn't seem to understand the question. It is not about configuring a third party application but about securing M365/Teams environment. Fireflies.ai and possibly other bots easily circumvent the security measures that Microsoft made available to their customers. The real question is how to protect our Teams meetings from joining by other parties' fireflies.ai or other bots. Microsoft has the feature to require captcha so only humans can join anonymously but apparently the invited human user is inconvenienced with the captcha verification but a bot is simply let in. How is that possible? How can we protect our environment from bots like that?

Based on the security and privacy of Teams meeting information, you want to prevent other robots from joining. The currently provided CAPTCHA cannot do this, and there are still robots that bypass this check.

It is recommended that you seek detailed guidance through online support.

Online support

Go to the admin center at https://admin.cloud.microsoft. If you get a message that says you don't have permission to access this page or perform this action, you aren't an admin.

On the bottom right side of the page, select Help & support.

Type a question or keyword into the text box. If you get a drop-down list, select the one closest to your question, or continue typing your question, then press Enter.

If the results don't help, at the bottom, select Contact Support.

Enter a description of your issue, confirm your contact number and email address, select your preferred contact method, and then select Contact me. The expected wait time is indicated in the Contact support pane.

I have given the steps still not ready to reproduce the behavior also.

It is easily reproducible, now bots are stuck in lobby at least. However Organizer can accidently allow them from lobby.
