Hi All,
There is a virtual machine in Azure that has the following disks.
(Ignore the fact you see 3072 GiB because this is a screenshot after resizing).
I have 2 questions:
1 - What is SQLVMStoragePool1?
2 - Why SQLVMDATA1 disk is not showing in the Azure portal?
I found that the VM in question was provisioned as a Azure SQL Server 2022 on Windows Server 2022.
How do I increase the F disk size if it is not showing in Azure Portal?

Was data disk SQLVMStoragePool1 part of Storage Spaces pool? looks like the partition on the disk is Storage Spaces Protective Partition. It seems like existing hard disk is attached to new VM as Data Disk.
Can you please try to check that data disk be in the same region and the same redundancy zone as the other disks in the VM. If you have a disk try to attach manually.

This is what happened.
A disk on a VM is running out space.
I resized the disk (on the Azure blade its size matched F disk size)
Now in Disk Management I can see this.
I was advised that SQLVMStoragePool1 never existed so not sure why it appeared.
Also, the disk F (SQLVMDATA1) is not showing in the Azure blade.

Created SQL Server VM 2022 on Windows server 2022, thereby two data disks were attached as a part of vm setup. I can see inside the data disks of VM in Azure portal and also can be seen directly inside under disk management and devices and drives section. please refer the below screenshots.
Based upon your query, I observed from your screenshots that your SQL Server VM having Storage types Premium SSD LRS and Premium SSD v2 LRS data disks were attached. How you configured those two different storage types data disks which were observed in Azure Portal.
Can you please share your Storage Pool screenshot.

Thanks for the update. As you have confirmed above, SQLVMStoragePool1 storage pool is created as soon as disk resize operation is performed.

I found that the storage pool SQLVMStoragePool1 is created automatically as soon as disk resize operation is performed.
This is applicable if a VM is provisioned from SQL Server on Windows Server image.
