How to manage Workflows in ADO for workitems

Hi Team,

is it possible to implement Workflows for Work items in ADO,

for example i have created work item as User story and currently its in state New the next state should be available only as in progress or In development instead of showing all states, after In progress/In Develpment the next state should be In Testing then Resolve, done etc....

Note: At present i am able to see all states and we can select any of the state irrespective of workflow,... so is this achievable in ADO boards can you please help us.image

    Yes, it is possible to implement Workflows for Work items in ADO.

    • To manage workflows we can customize the workflow states and rules.
    • Navigate to your Organization => Process => select the process you want to modify.

    • You can remove the state or add a new rule based on your scenarios.
    • To create a new rule, you must have Project Collection Administrators role assigned to you.

    • You can check your role under Organizational Settings => Permissions => Users => Search and select your name => Member of
