Reoccurrence trigger in logic app is getting triggered twice or not on the scheduled time

we are using a reoccurrence trigger on our logic app standard to trigger our logic app standard. what we are observing for quite some time that logic app is getting fired at random time during weekday and weekends and not on the scheduled time.

the application insights doesn't show much so not sure what is causing it and also trigger history is general as we during normal operation.

it looks to be something happening on the backend either with the app service plan or logic app libs.

If the recurrence trigger is firing at unexpected times, it could be due to incorrect settings or a misconfigured time zone. Ensure the recurrence frequency is correctly defined (e.g., hourly, daily) and verify that the start time and time zone are set accurately. Remember, recurrence triggers default to UTC, so if you’re working in a different time zone, adjust accordingly.

Another possible cause could be multiple parallel instances running, which may disrupt the schedule. To fix this, enable Concurrency Control and set the Degree of Parallelism to 1. This ensures only one instance of the Logic App runs at any given time, preventing overlap and unexpected trigger behavior.

If the issue persists, increase the diagnostic level in Application Insights to capture more detailed logs, which can help pinpoint errors or anomalies. This will give you better visibility into trigger execution times and potential issues in the workflow.
