Need to migrate Teams Chat

Hello,

Please i need your help on this issue.

I would like to know how to migrate Teams Chat from one tenant to another tenant with the same users.

We have successfully used Teams chat to help dispersed engineering teams communicate and document problem solving. Great team building tool and a fabulous way to share and create a running record of our efforts. We now learn that this history will not migrate to our new Tenant. We are part of a spin-off and this split of data has been required. We are filing feedback that this is terribly disappointing that a tool we value has such a short coming. Please add feature set to allow complete migration-transfer of chat history into their established chat, all users, teams and channels when a migration is required.

Hi @James James

Microsoft Teams does not currently support direct migration of chat history. If you would like this feature to be added, please submit feedback in Microsoft Feedback. Many features of our current products are designed and upgraded based on customers’ feedback. With requirements like this increase, the problem may well be released in the future.
